My youngest kiddos headed back to school this week. I know they are going to have a great year……………………………..
Our back to school preparations got under way with a simple day-before party. Sofia and Joshua each got a new book and a magnetic basket to dress up their new lockers. A cookie and a mini-cupcake topped off their treats. Joshua was disapointed that there weren’t any “party games’. But little did he know that when they were told to sweep the basketball court that they would be ambushed by Nick and I! As they came around the bushes we nailed them with water guns! They were surprised but also thrilled. After a few minutes of chasing them around the backyard we evened things up and gave everyone their own water gun (including the two big girls). We had a blast and were all properly soaked in the end.
Later, we had a most favorite friends over to swim and grill. We had such a good time that I forgot to take any pictures!! LOL! Promptly at 7:30 we declared summer offically over! It was time to get back to our routines.
The next day both kids were up bright and early and ready to go!! Back to school they go!

The kids came home hot and happy. Both declaring their first day to be “awesome”. It doesn’t get much better than that! Back to school went better than I could have hoped.
