If you’ve been around my blog long enough then you’ve heard me talk about Grove Collaborative before. But if you are new let me give you a quick introduction….
Here’s their mission statement….
“Our mission is to inspire every family to create and sustain a healthy, beautiful home. Together, we can bring sustainability, safety, and transparency to an industry long dominated by products laden with harmful chemicals that put profit before consumer and environmental health.”
I’ve been purchasing household cleaning products as well as beauty products from Grove Collaborative for about 6 months now. I’ve tried a number of things. Most have been good, some have been just okay and a few have been fantastic! Today I’m going to share with you my top eight Grove Collaborative favorites.
Top 3 – Kitchen Supplies
- Grove Brand Gel Dish Soap- It has a lovely light fragrance with enough power to get the job done (no grease left on my dishes). I also appreciate the fact that it’s clear so as not to clash with my kitchen colors. I don’t know about you but I’ve been known to buy dish (or hand) soap simply because it was the right color for the room. Lame I know. LOL! Oh and the glass pump bottle is a great weight, not fragile and non-slip due to the silicone sleeve at the bottom.
- Grove Brand Glass Cleaning Concentrate- I include a box of these tubes every time I order. I love the smell, I love that there are no streaks but most of all I love that it’s just over all better for the environment. Less packaging + less chemicals make me happy. Plus, I don’t know what it is, but I feel all sorts of “Becky-Home-eky” when I’m mixing up my own cleaning products! The glass spray bottles really elevate the truly mundane task of wiping my mirrors. Weird but true. 🙂
- Grove Brand Kitchen Towels. These come in a pack of two. They are thick, and absorbent (after washing a few times they are even better). I’m slowly replacing all of my old, tired, terry cloth kitchen towel with these.
Top 2 – Beauty Supplies
- Grove Brand Hand Cream- Bergamot Orange. This is thick and goes on like silk. The fragrance is a little on the heavy side but it fades quickly leaving behind a light scent. A few days ago my hubby commented on how extra soft my hands are….so I guess this stuff works!
- Method Brand Body Wash- Pure Peace. I LOVE this body wash! I sure hope this isn’t a limited edition fragrance because I could see myself using this for the rest of my life! The scent is just lovely. It bubbles up great but feel like lotion. It can double as bubble bath in a pinch. I wish they made a body lotion in this scent too…seriously, try this stuff, it’s awesome.
Best Bathroom Product
- Method Brand Anti-Bac Toilet Bowl Cleaner. I am so glad Grove carries this brand or toilet bowl cleaner as I have had trouble finding it locally. Target SOMETIMES has it but it seems, more often than not, that it’s out of stock. I keep a bottle of this in each bathroom. It’s thick, it clean great and it smells nice…I’m thinking that’s like the triple-threat of toilet cleaners…am I right? 😉
Best Laundry Product
- Mrs. Meyers Dryer Sheets- Honeysuckle Scent. These take a bit of getting used to. They are made of a bio-degradable paper instead of the cloth stuff we’re all used to. The stick together a bit, but once you get used to the feel of them, I promise you’ll love them as much as I do. The scent is Ah-Mazing. It makes my whole laundry/bathroom area smell great but doesn’t leave everyone’s clothes smelling like I soaked them in a flower bucket….it’s a good balance. They’re great for getting rid of static in the dryer. Just as effective as Bounce or whatever, but without all the extra nonsense. Oh, and I keep one in my purse. I don’t know how your hair is but in the winter my hair gets all sorts of static-y, I rub one of these dryer sheets over my hair and static be gone! Plus they make my hair smell good too! It’s a win-win!
(the Grove lip balm shown above is quite nice, but the facial wipes are just ok. They just aren’t quite moist enough)
Best New Find
- Yes to Coconut Energizing Coffee 2-in-1 Scrub and Cleanser Stick. I was skeptical on this one. It came as a freebie with my last order and I thought…coffee? skin care? hmmmm….I don’t know. BUT I’ve used it a number of times now and I’m convinced! So, you glide it on over your face (damp) and then use your fingers to rub it around. There’s little grains of coffee that act as a scrub and the coconut acts as the cleanser. My skin is nice and soft with no dryness. It does have a pretty distinct coffee and coconut smell but I actually like it, even though I don’t drink coffee OR eat anything coconut! (save for coconut rum…now that’s tasty!) LOL!
(I’ve been using the hand soap for some time and love it, but since it’s not new I didn’t include it here. As for the Make-up Remover. I’m not sure I recommend it. It smells great, it’s a good sized bottle. But while it does the job of getting my make-up off it seems quite drying and it’s not great as a mascara remover at all.)
So there you have it…my top 8 Grove Collaborative products. If you are at all tempted to try out Grove, just remember you’ll get a free 5-piece gift set along with your first purchase! I’m not exactly sure what products are included with the current set but the pic at the top is representative of the types of things you’ll receive.
In case you missed it…here’s my first Grove Collaborative review!
Oh, and before I go…check out this new seasonal set..so pretty!! That soap bottle is beautiful and would look great in your guest bath. And any of these items would make lovely hostess gifts this season. 🙂
