Sit back and relax…I have a lot of Friday Favorites this week! (probably something to do with the fact that I’ve missed the last two Fridays! This past Friday I was in California visiting some of my oldest friends…
I met Priscilla and Jeral when I was just 13. I became their one and only babysitter for their little guy Josh. Josh was the sweetest little guy…before he could say my name he called me “Lady”. 🙂 Eventually baby number two came along. Kristin was a darling baby…perhaps a bit high maintenance…but truly a sweetheart. Years passed, the kids grew up (so did I!) and even though they moved one direction and I moved the other we maintained a super close relationship. Fast forward…Josh is now 33 (what??!! how can that be??). He is a Psych Tech at a maximum security prison and has a lovely girl friend. Kristin became a Financial Advisor and is married to Ben. They just had their first baby…Riley! Last week I was able to fly out and see everyone for the first time since Kristin got married six years ago….and…I got to meet Riley! He is adorable. A wonderful blend of his mommy and daddy. The fact that they all live in the San Luis Obispo area (lovely coastal California!) was just a bonus. These people are so dear to me. I can’t believe we’ve known each other for 32 years!! It’s been such a privilege to be a part of these guys lives and see

My cats will always be a Friday Favorite!
THREE
Have you tried this ice cream?? So, so good!! Supposed to be four servings….#noway! I MAY have finished this in two servings…ok…I actually ate it one… #noshame
FOUR
My April book review is a Friday Favorite for sure! I read 10 books in April…I blame missed flights! LOL!
FIVE
Nick and Joshua flew to California to see Nicks dad. His sister, Tulla, was visiting too. Fun fact: Nick and I were in CA at the same time but in dramatically different regions. He was in the desert out by Barstow. I got the much better end of the stick…coastal California is SO much prettier than the desert!
SIX
The relationship between Joshua and his Popou is very sweet. Although they don’t see each other often, when they do their time together is full of snuggles and games of checkers.
SEVEN
Sarah slammed her thumb in a car door. It continued to get worse and worse and more and more painful. After two visits to urgent care, it was decided to try and drain the blood from under the nail. It bled and bled! No wonder it was so painful…so much pressure! It was bandaged and put in a splint. It continued to drain for the rest of the day…ick! But it is finally healing, which makes this grossness a Friday Favorite. 😉
EIGHT
We are getting a new roof put on next week. Solar panels will be installed shortly thereafter! Saving money by using solar will be an ongoing Friday Favorite! 🙂
NINE
And finally…isn’t this mug the cutest?? (and so, so true! LOL!) After putting together the Mother’s Day Gifts – Etsy Style, I couldn’t resist getting this mug for myself! This seller has so many cute things to choose from, I had a hard time picking just one!
HAVE A GREAT FRIDAY!!
