My father-in-law and sister-in-law were in town for a week. While he’s got limited mobility, we still tried to fit some fun in!
Bowling for the win! On yet another rainy day (#somuchrain) we needed to find an indoor activity that could involve as many people as possible. All of us, minus my father-in-law, were able to bowl with varying degrees of success. Sarah won both rounds, but it really didn’t matter, as everyone had such a great time. It was so funny to watch the little kids…Sofia just chucks the ball down the lane and Joshua does this funny little run/dance thing up to the line before he rolls the ball. I got two strikes, both of which most people missed!! But, really…they happened! LOL!
While it was super challenging to have someone here who was so limited in speech, hearing and mobility, we still tried to make the best of it. Atleast the kids got plenty of snuggle time!
Growing up we always had a bottle of Janes Crazy Mixed Up Salt. This stuff is like crack…so good! I’ll admit it…I used to pour some in my hand and licked it up! It’s been years and years since I’ve seen a bottle but the other day at the commissary, there it was! I’ve already got several of my family members hooked on it. 🙂 Someone had mentioned the Everything But the Bagel seasoning from Trader Joes as something that was a must try. Last night I split my piece of salmon in half and had the crazy salt on one half and the everything seasoning on the other. The everything seasoning added some sesame flavor which was nice on the salmon, giving it a bit of an asian flair. But honestly I preferred the crazy salt.

There’s been so much rain here in Maryland…it’s been crazy! But as long as it’s not thundering my kids are still in the pool! Me? I’m under the umbrella…Maryland humidity is hard enough on my hair, lets not add rain to the mix! haha!
My July book review is up! Three out of the ten were ZEROS! Boo!
