Friday Favorites

September 28, 2018 by Tina Anthis

It’s Friday! Time to link up with some of my favorite bloggers to share a few new (and old) favorites……………………………………………………………………………………………..favorites FridayCheck out a few of my favorite bloggers before you read on to see my Friday Favorites. Erika, Andrea and Narci

While I was in California a few weeks ago, I found myself without an eyebrow pencil!! This is more dire than you know. Without eyebrow pencil I pretty much have no eyebrows! My right side is decent but my left has been decimated by skin cancer (#getthoseskinchecks!) leaving very little hair. So, I have to draw and fill it in myself. Thankfully Ulta seems to be nationwide so I quickly got myself there!

Once in Ulta, however, I found that my favorite brand/color was sold out. Seriously? How many people out there have red hair? I thought we were supposed to be a rare breed?? Anyway….I started looking around and ended up grabbing a variety of shades and brands. Here’s what I ended up with…

eyebrows red hair

Yes, I know, that’s a lot of eyebrow stuff. BUT I didn’t know which one would look best and I had a wedding to attend and I wanted my brows to not look like a circus side show! LOL!

Here’s a close-up of a few….

eyebrows red hair

Out of these turns out I like the one on the bottom for drawing and the Ulta brow tint for filling in. The 3-in-1 is way too orange! But the auburn mascara is interesting. I could see using it occasionally.

Ok, enough about my lame eyebrows! haha! Here are a few other faves….

lego birthday

Joshuas 9th birthday and my dad’s (aka Papa) 70th birthday!!

Essie fall nail polish

Aren’t these three colors perfect for fall????

kid communication center

Our kid zone. Everything that the kids are up to each week is put on these boards, along with notices of upcoming things on the magnet board.

This lazy @ss cat! He can’t even be bothered to stand at the water bowl. The other weird thing he does is what we call “cleaning up”. When he’s done eating he uses his paws to “clean up” the area. Whats super funny about this you ask? Theres never anything on the ground by the food bowl, so really he’s just swiping at bare ground. LOL!

summer bucket list chalkboard

How’d we do with our summer bucket list?

Brandless

Have you heard of Brandless? One of my daughters decided to give it a try and was very pleased. In a nut shell Brandless is an online company that sells a wide variety of food items (all non GMO, organic etc.) as well as personal care and cleaning supplies. Everything on their site is $3. Shipping is $5 regardless of your order size. Sarah really liked the Jalapeno chips and night cream. Check out there companies policies, mission statement and charitable outreach programs…sounds pretty cool. (this is not sponsored…I have no affiliation with Brandless)

pumpkin chocolate chip muffins

And finally it must be fall ’cause I’m making pumpkin chocolate chip bread! Usually I make these as muffins BUT I was out of cupcake papers and my cupcake pans are a wreck! They are certainly not non-stick anymore! So bread it was. 🙂
