For this edition of Friday Favorites I thought I share some mom tweets that made me chuckle this past week (and maybe a few other things!)
There’s been so much distressing and depressing news lately that I thought I’d give you a few mom tweets to make bring a smile to your face.
Funny Mom Tweets
Can you guys relate to any of these? (or all of them! LOL!) If you want to see more tweets to make you laugh check out BoredPanda.
Here’s a Few Other Friday Favorites…
New Apple emojis are coming! Please note the red head! Also the Llama, the burning hot and the freezing cold faces are my faves.
Vet Visit
All three of my cats had vet visits for wellness checks and vaccines. Don’t let this picture fool you! Even though these two appear to be totally relaxed the exams weren’t as calm. Please note that Harriet had tucked herself into a corner under the exam table. LOL! Ozzie (who is normally super chill) spent most of his exam time hissing and fighting the vet. Hunter was supposed to do blood work (he’s a senior kitty now!) but he managed to get loose in the back room area, causing the whole vet clinic to temporarily panic until he was back under lock and key. Needless to say, no blood work was done. haha! Harriet, was an angel, because of course she was…she’s a girl and we all know that girls are tougher, right? 😉
All said and done we walked out of there $475 poorer. sigh. Exams, vaccines, pre-paid poop testing (yay me, I get to bring some of their poop in to check for parasites), special litter crystals (so I can collect a urine sample from Hunter) and some special meds (to give Hunter before I take him back to try again for the blood work…it’s supposed to make him “relaxed and more pliable”….Sure. We’ll see how that goes!) All of that sure adds up!
Marching Band
It’s marching season! Here are a few picks from two different shows my daughter participated in this past weekend. They took 3rd and 2nd respectively. Such beautiful, colorful props and backdrops they are using this year for their show “Creation”. I caught the tail end of rehearsal yesterday and the final musical piece made me all teary. It was just lovely. Of course I may have gotten teary because this is my daughters final season! wah!! I’m going to be a mess at the end of season band banquet….there will be a video….with pics of my daughter as a baby…and then as a beautiful senior in highschool…..hand me a box of kleenex stat!! Seriously I’m going to be a wreck!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Our community is having their fall festival (that I was in charge of planning) this weekend and the weather is looking great! Fingers crossed that all the entertainers show up as scheduled!
