Monthly Link Round Up…aka the bunny trail!

February 26, 2018 by Tina Anthis

Welcome to my monthly link round-up of random findings as I’ve wandered the internet over the past month. And  when I say random…I mean it! LOL! If you ever wanted to know about automatic pet feeders, Amazons Alexa, and weird shoes then read on!

  • Amazons Alexa. She hasn’t graced our house with her presence….yet…but after reading this article, I’m wondering if we are about to be left in the dust, technology wise, if we don’t hop on the Alexa train. Seriously, look at all of the Alexa Enabled Devices that are now on the market. It seems that this is either the wave of the future or the next Laser Disc Player! Which, by the way, my husband still has!!! #hoarderhusband

  • Sarah loves to tease me on Facebook by posting tasty dessert recipes, but she never makes them!! Oh my, why is this Cookie Dough Mousse Cake not in my belly right now??

  • Several great articles in the Washington Post Opinion section this past Sunday. Read this authors interesting take on Bullying.

  • hmmmmm….Amazon must be using a weird new algorithm. Apparently they thought I might be interested in these shoes. Spoiler alert…I’m not. đŸ˜‰ This Company has a number of “interesting” styles…several I know my sister-in-law would love!

  • I wonder if my lazy a$$ cats would go for one of these interactive cat feeders . Or maybe this automatic cat food dispenser to make them stand there and wait for the food to drop! It has a feature where you can record a message for them…you know so they can hear you while they eat….um…..am I missing something? Why does my cat want to hear me while he eats? WEIRD! LOL

  • I finished watching Absentia. The description on Amazon reads…”centers on an FBI agent who disappears without a trace while hunting a serial killer.”. All of that literally happens in the first 10 minutes of episode one. The show is really about how she is suddenly found and everything that comes after in finding out who took her and where she was and whether she’s the victim or in on the whole thing. This series was…ok. I found myself wondering too often how she was able to be so strong and unscathed after being held captive for 6 years…or even 6 days! She had, like, one stinkin’ scratch on her whole body! She was up running around within days. Meh….I won’t be bothering with season 2 of this one.

  • It might still be “sweater weather” but I’m already dreaming about SHORTS weather. I will need all new shorts and tops this year (40 pounds of weight loss is wonderful but really puts a pinch on the pocketbook having to buy new clothes!). My style is pretty darn simple…shorts and a tee or tank with flip-flops for every day and a maxi or romper for going out (but still with flip-flops!). I’m telling you….as soon as I can stop wearing boots, I’m putting on my flip-flops! I’m wondering if I can pull of that off the shoulder top…it might be over the top for me. If you’re curious here’s the rest of my “Style” Pinterest Board.

  • Finally I’ll leave you with another tasty recipe…who knows…my lovely daughter might just whip these Nutter Butter Cookie Truffles up!

Be on the lookout for my February Book Review…I read a couple of good ones!
