Our home was built in 1992 and basically all of the interior as well as the roof, windows, etc. were original to the house. Over time we’ve been trying to update some of these things. It’s taking longer than I’d like (isn’t that always the case with home improvements??), and really I’d just like to gut the house and start fresh…but that isn’t going to happen! haha! We had the roof replaced a few months ago along with installing solar panels at the same time. Next up was our windows!…………………………………………………………..Many of our windows were having trouble opening (or staying open), the screens were tattered and you had to use some serious muscle to open the sliding glass doors (to say nothing of the fact that one of our sliders had the screen on the inside instead of the outside. How weird is that? What? Did they install the door backwards??)
We interviewed a couple of different companies and ended up going with Power Home Remodeling. Their presentation was by far and away the best. We had to wait almost 3 months to actually get them installed but here are some before and afters so you can see the difference.
Installing the windows was a full day but everything went very smoothly and what we ended up with is just beautiful.
And for kicks here’s a pic of my house in late April and one taken today….
