spring hostess gifts – under $10

April 3, 2019 by Tina Anthis

Recently I had a free hour so I hit up Home Goods to stock up on some spring hostess gifts. I narrowed my focus to items under $10 and of course Home Goods delivered!

With spring gatherings coming up I thought I would share with you some gifts that would make any hostess smile.

Dish soap or cocktail napkins

Fresh lemon dish soap in this pretty bottle would look perfect around any hostesses sink. The cocktail napkins would be darling along with a few packets of lemonade drink mix all tied together with a simple bow.

notebook set with pens

These Kate Spade notebooks (2 different designs in each pack) along with some pretty pens are perfect for the hostess to pop in her purse…you never know when you need to jot important things down. 🙂

checked napkins

Aren’t these napkins the cutest? They would look great with any Easter tablescape. By the way…are these checked or plaid? I’m afraid I don’t know the difference!! Tie a ribbon ’round these and add a few sprigs of a fragrant herb like rosemary or thyme. Fresh herbs are pretty and useful!

hand lotion

There are SO many hand lotion choices out there! I picked this one for both it’s neutral design AND it’s light (neutral) scent. I like to to keep hand lotion in my kitchen…this bottle would fit any decor.

rae dunn pen set

Seriously…how cute are these “mom” pens?? Rae Dunn is a widely popular artist with a wide range of products including tons of kitchenware as well as office supplies. Add in a cute notepad and you’ve got an awesome spring hostess gift! (the notepad was not purchased at Home Goods but instead at a local Annapolis boutique)

cake cups and sprinkles

Home Goods had these cute baking cups in a number of different colors but the pink just spoke to me (as pink usually does! haha!). I would include a small notecard giving some unique ideas as to what you can use these for. Of course you can use them for cupcakes (don’t forget the sprinkles on top!) but here are some other ideas…

  • tea light holders (battery operated for safety purposes)
  • fill with candy as a party favor. Bonus…pop in a small sign with each guests name…perfect for place settings.
  • baked tiny quiches or pot pies would be tasty and super cute in these cake cups

dish cloths

Now, I’ll say, I typically use scrub brushes to wash dishes but these fun, spring design dish cloths may make me a convert! They are so bright and cheerful. Depending on the pattern/colors you could coordinate the dish cloths with the dish soap and give them together.

Thanks Home Goods for having such a wide range of fun (inexpensive…remember, each gift was under $10!) spring hostess gifts. I’m sure any of us would be proud to present our hostesses with these small tokens of appreciation.

P.S.- This is not a sponsored post…I just love Home Goods and I bet that many of my readers do too!

P.P.S- If I attend any spring gatherings that my local readers are hosting…please just act surprised when you receive one of the above! LOL!

Many of the gift ideas in my Mother’s Day gift series would also work as hostess gifts. Here’s part 1 and part 2
