Time for What’s Up Wednesday! Well…I was supposed to be bringing you a post all about my weekend getaway…but instead I was stuck at home with a sick kiddo. Early last week I came down with some kind of crud. Body aches, headaches, sore throat…I felt like crap. But by Wednesday morning I thought for sure I’d be okay to hit the slopes (or the tubing hill, as the case may be). However, that thought was dashed when the school called Wednesday afternoon and said Sofia was in the health room with all my same symptoms AND a fever. Sigh. It was clear by Thursday night that she and I weren’t going anywhere. The rest of the family hit the road Friday afternoon while Sofia and I hunkered down with loads of Advil, juice and soup.
After roughly 78 rounds of UNO, Connect 4 and Tri-ominos….countless hours of t.v. watching, and 7…yes 7, Disney movies, the LONG weekend was over and finally…FINALLY her fever was gone on Sunday night. While I don’t have cute snow scene pictures and tubing videos to share…here’s my week in pictures…
This is pretty much what my weekend looked like…alternating between watching our own shows (Sofia-Kim Possible, Me-Shetland) and laying in my bed watching Disney films. Oh and playing that big stack of games seen in the background.
In between laying about all week, I received a box from Trendsend. Yes, another style delivery company. I wanted to try them all! So far I’ve tried Wantable, Trunk Club and Stitch Fix
I’m not sharing a ton of pics from this one as I just wasn’t wowed. In fact everything went back. What was good…I liked how each outfit was grouped together. There was no styling fee. Returns were easy. Why didn’t I like it?…the fact is that none of the outfits were particularly flattering and most of the pieces were overpriced for what they were. As I’ve said before I don’t mind paying more for style and quality but most of the pieces seemed like things I could pick up at Target for a fraction of the price. I would’ve considered giving them another go but with not even keeping one item, I just don’t seem this company in my future.
Of all my home decor, I get the most questions about my clocks. Each of my kids have an antique clock set to the time they were born. The clocks were collected over time (pardon the pun!) from antique stores and I think I may have gotten one off Etsy or Ebay. It’s a sweet way to memorialize your kids without it screaming BABY decor. These are on display in my living room. Oh, and the second most asked question is do they work…I have no idea. I never intended to use them as actual time keeping devices, they are just for looks. 🙂
Lands End has me looking at kid swimsuits…I’m ready for winter to be done…bring on the swimming!
I’ll leave you a rare sighting of all three of my cats in one place. And I wonder why it seems guests can’t tell them apart! LOL!

Did Nick or Sarah take any snow pics?
Tina Anthis
Nope! But if you want to see lots of gift shop pictures he’s gotcha covered! 😉 (he took pics of wood stuff he’d like to make someday)

I still can’t tell the kitties apart! Haha! Love the idea of displaying the time each kid was born. I’ll have to do that!
