What’s Up Wednesday

October 31, 2018 by Tina Anthis

It’s Halloween! It also happens to be the last Wednesday of the month which means it’s time to link up with Mel, Sheaffer, and Shay  to share all sorts of funkiness…what's up wednesdayOnce  a month a bunch of bloggers come together and answer the following questions:

whats up wednesday

What we’re eating this week:

This week has been super boring! Tuna casserole, burrito casserole, meatball casserole (I’m sensing a theme here! LOL!) Really it’s been all about what’s easy. My menu planning has a been a mess lately, so easy (and cheap) seemed the best way to go.

What I’m reminiscing about:

Past Halloween costumes! Take a look at a couple of these oldies…

What I’m loving:

My girl, standing up for marching band awards at her very last field show competition. (yes, I cried…senior year is full of “lasts”!)

What we’ve been up to:

Trip out to California for my father in laws funeral… (more on that in another post)

and, what else?? Marching band of course!! 😉 (That’s my “jelly fish” girl up front on the right)

What I’m dreading:

I have about a thousand appointments of different types to make, which require lots of time to make calls and finagle schedules. Why do I dread this one so much??? Does anyone else hate this type of time suck as much as me?

What I’m working on:

I’m gathering ideas for renovating our two upstairs bathrooms. Both will get new tubs/showers and vanities and one will get a new toilet. I know I want a much deeper tub but that’s all I know right now. I’m hoping to make it to at least one bath/kitchen showroom place next week to get some inspiration.

What I’m excited about:

well…huh…I can’t really think of anything right now

What I’m watching/reading:

I just finished reading Winter in Paradise by Elin Hilderbrand (review coming tomorrow!), and haven’t started anything else, so I’m not sure what I’m reading next.

As for watching…that’s another story! With our 5 recent flights, I’ve had plenty of time to watch downloaded stuff from Amazon Prime on my iPad.

Here’s what I’ve made it through recently…

And Nick and I made our way through these shows…

What I’m listening to:

On Sirius XM my favorite stations lately have been “The Bridge” (mellow stuff like Simon and Garfunkel) and “First Wave” (80’s alternative like Depeche Mode).

What I’m wearing:

These sweat shirt/sweater hybrid from Trunk Club has been in regular rotation as of late:

Seriously…this thing is so cozy!! Check out my style page for more Trunk Club and Stitch Fix reviews.

What I’m doing this weekend:

Girl scout cookie booth for a few hours and watching Sarah perform a fun Star Wars themed half time show for the schools football game.

What I’m looking forward to next month:

FRIENDSGIVING! I’ll be setting a date soon!

What else is new:

I think that about covers it!

See you next month for more What’s Up Wednesday!
